What should I do if I suspect nursing home negligence & abuse?

Get help immediately. If the nursing home negligence or abuse is severe and the resident's life is in jeopardy, you should call the police immediately and get the resident to a hospital. If the suspected neglect or abuse is not severe enough to warrant police intervention, bring the matter to the attention of the nursing home administrator or the director of nursing immediately.
