Platform
The Nursing Home Abuse Resource Center web site works on any platform. The site can be
viewed on Windows, Mac or Unix.
Web Browser
The Nursing Home Abuse Resource Center web site has been designed to run optimally on
Netscape 3.0 or above and Internet Explorer 4.0 (Version 4.5 on Macintosh) or
above.
For optimal viewing, we recommend that you maximize your viewing area in
either browser if you have a monitor less than 17".
If you are using Netscape 3.0, go to the menu item "Options"
and disable "Show Directory Buttons". Also under the menu item "Options",
go to "General Preferences...", select "Appearance",
and click on "Text" in the top section named "Toolbars".
If you are using Netscape 4.0 or above, select "Preferences"
from the "Edit" Menu, select "Appearance",
then select "Text Only" in the Show toolbar as section.
Internet Explorer 3.0 users may leave their options in the default mode.
Flash Plug-In

JavaScript
This site also uses Javascript. Please make sure that scripting is enabled in
your web browser. For Netscape 4.0+ users, go under the "Edit"
menu, select "Preferences", select "Advanced",
make sure that "Enable Java, Enable Javascript", and "Enable
JavaScript for Mail and News" are checked.
Fonts
In both Internet Explorer and Netscape, we suggest changing your Proportional
and Fixed Font sizes to 10pt. The site will not display properly if you use font
sizes greater than 12pt.
Monitor Color
This site should be viewed using a minimum of 256 color monitor setting.
For optimal viewing, Windows users should use the setting:"High color
(16-bit)" while Mac users should use "thousands of colors or
millions of colors."
Screen Resolution
Although, the Nursing Home Abuse Resource Center web site can be viewed in any screen
resolution, using a 800 x 600 resolution will allow you to view more of the main
screen without scrolling.
